Bamboo Matcha Whisk (Chasen)

How to Use-
Soak the bamboo whisk (chasen) in warm water for 1-2 minutes to soften the bristles and prevent breakage.

Sift 1–2 teaspoons of matcha into your cup or bowl.

Pour 70-80°C (158-176°F) water into the bowl—avoid boiling water to preserve matcha’s flavour.

Whisk in a gentle “W” motion until a light foam forms on top.

Rinse with warm water and allow to air dry.
For best longevity, pair with a whisk holder to maintain the prong shape.
With daily use it is recommended to replace your whisk every 3-6 months, or with occasional use and proper care replace up to 1-2 years. Replace it immediately if you notice broken or severely frayed tines, mold, or if it has lost its shape and cannot produce a frothy, smooth foam.
