Synonanthus nittens is a grass like species from Jalapao state of Brazil. It has a glorious bright golden metalic colour commonly known as "Capim Dourado" meaning "Golden Grass". Little is known about this natural plant, only that it is grown in a small area of Japalao and no where else in the world. The craft makers, weave tightly the stems of the gold grass and create extraordinary pieces. By purchasing this product we are supporting families in this small area of Brazil.
